Minggu Sejarah Islam 2015

DEWAN SERI MUTIARA - Minggu Sejarah Islam (MSI) or Islamic History Week took place on 26, 27 and 28 April of this year. The first day of MSI was the Pameran Jejak Pemuda which was basically an exhibition on notable young Islamic scholars and there were games booths. Before the games started, 8th college residents were invited to break their fast together (known as Iftar Jamaie) at Starbuck.

The pictures below are of the participants playing the games at five booths. The participation was a little slow at first but after the first hour or so, things started to get livelier as more people joined in including people from 5th and 10th college.

On the second night, there was a forum where three panelists from different backgrounds were invited to talk on the topic: Muslim Heroes, the Youth of Revolution.

Ameen Misran was invited to the event as well to perform his spoken word poetry.

Lastly, the third night was Malam Dikir Zikir where wonderful musical performances were held and the prize-giving ceremony took place. Before the guest artistes were called on to perform, our very own 8th college residents displayed their talents in Manifestasi Puisi.

Finally, the artistes took the stage and made beautiful music for the captive audience.

Prizes were presented to those who did well in the games on Sunday (26/4/15) as well as those who joined the contests on Facebook. There was a lucky draw too and the prizes were awesome.
